Swedish forest industry group Holmen AB issued its year-end report, posting an operating profit of SEK 1,051 million (approx. $127.000), as compared to SEK 2,843 million (approx. $ 345.000) in 2007. The result includes costs of SEK 361 million ($44 million) relating mainly to closures of production facilities, the company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. The net turnover for the year amounted to SEK 19,334 million ($2.343 million), as compared to SEK 19,159 million ($2.322) in the previous year. Earnings per share after dilution amounted to SEK 7.6 ($0.9), down from SEK 17.8 ($2). Holmen, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is a European forest industry group with operations within paper, paperboard, sawn timber and energy.
