Mar 04, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. On March, 11 Kronospan Russia will open in Moscow region. The total amount of investments allocated by Kronospan Holdings Ltd. to the construction of the enterprise producing wooden boards and laminated floor coverings will reach EUR 500 million. The first stage of the investment project worth EUR 120 million has already been fulfilled. The production capacity of the first term of production (Seimpelkampf MDF-producing equipment) will reach 500 cub m of boards/day. Partially the boards produced by the enterprise will be used for the production of laminated floor coverings and wall panels, part of the produced MDF-boards will be supplied to Russian furniture manufacturers. Besides, Kronospan intends to produce particleboard and OSB-boards in the future. Kronospan Russia is the regional business of Kronospan Holdings Limited that owns 26 enterprises in 14 countries worldwide, including Austria, the UK, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and China.
