Mitsubishi HiTec Paper reported that dramatically increasing costs for energy and logistics result in a world-wide price adjustment for all matt coated inkjet papers of the jetscript range of 6% valid from November 1st, 2008. In spite of extensive cost reduction measures especially the nearly 50% jump of energy expenses compared to 2007 could not be fully compensated. As a result Mitsubishi HiTec Paper is forced to pass this price adjustment to the market.
