Jan 10, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Potlatch Corporation announced on January 9 the appointment of Jane Crane as vice president, human resources. Effective January 15, 2007, Ms. Crane replaces Christopher A. Eckel, who retired August 1, 2006.
Ms. Crane most recently served as the human resources vice president and general manager for UNOCAL's North American operations, and has held senior human resource positions at Sierra Pacific Resources and ARCO. At Potlatch, Ms. Crane will have companywide responsibility for all facets of human resource management activities. She will report to chairman, president and CEO Michael J. Covey and will relocate to the company's headquarters in Spokane.
"Jane brings extensive experience in all aspects of human resource management," noted Mr. Covey. "Her strong background managing compensation and benefits, training and development, and labor relations for companies focused on growth, will be extremely valuable to Potlatch going forward."
Crane holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Pittsburg State University and a MBA from the University of South Dakota.
