Russian Saint-Petersburg cardboard and polygraphy enterprise (Leningrad region, owned by Ilim Pulp) invested $1 million in the installation of purification facilities that will be launched in July 2004, Ilim Pulp spokesperson told Lesprom.ru. Local purification facilities process water used for cardboard production. The second stage implies sewage prepurification for cardboard production, that are later transported to the biological purification station. The investments are estimated at $600 thousand.
