Aug 20, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Sawlog prices in Sweden decreased by 4% in the 2Q 2013 compared to the prior quarter. Pulpwood prices were unchanged compared to the prior quarter. Sawlog prices decreased in southern region by 3% and in central region and in the northern region sawlog prices decreased by 3% and 6% respectively, as the Swedish Forest Agency said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Pulpwood prices rose by 1% in the southern region, while prices decreased by 1% in central region and by 3% in northern region.

When comparing the 2Q 2013 and the same quarter of 2012, both sawlog prices and pulpwood prices decreased by 8%.
