Jun 26, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Timber company Scandinavia signed contract with Finnish Jartek Oy for production and installation of forest industry equipment. Under the terms of the contract, in course of the year Jartek Oy will produce, deliver and install equipment for the modern forest industry complex which will be built by Oslo Marine Group in Shaglino village (Gatchinsky region, Leningrad region). The value of the contract is Euro 29 million. Oslo Marine Group continues searching suppliers and subcontractors for construction of additional production lines of the new wood-processing complex. At present the project of construction of a new wood-processing complex is at the stage of designing and financing. According to company’s estimations, the total volume of investments should total about Euro 100 million. The main direction of the complex activity will be production of glued beams. It will also comprise particleboard producing plant, facility for particleboard laminating and house-building mill for construction of houses from glued beams and wireframe panel constructions. This production will become the most modern and effective in Russia. The construction of the mill will allow not only creating advanced wood-processing at the territory of Russian Federation but also creation of 300 new jobs in Gatchinsky district of Leningrad region.
