Jan 30, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Söderhamn Eriksson sold an inline scanning Catech 400 IS edger optimizer to Smiltene Impex sawmill in Latvia. This investment is part of a major upgrading of the sawing process and will be implemented in the 2Q 2015 to improve sawing yield, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. 

The edger optimizer also includes a board trimmer right before the existing board sorting plant. Smiltene Impex saws 115,000 cubic metres logs a year and is one of Latvia’s major saw mills. The edger optimizer will be delivered at the end of March 2015.

Catech edger optimizers come in inline or transverse scanning designs and with quality measuring and unmanned operation as options.
