Slovenia: Value of purchased roundwood down 5% in May
Slovenia's total value of roundwood purchased in May 2014 amounted to Euro 4.9 million, which is about 12% less than in the previous month. The total value of roundwood purchased in May 2014 was about 5% lower than in May 2013, mainly due to lower quantity of purchased sawlogs non-coniferous.

roundwood purchased in May 2014 amounted to Euro 4.9 million, which is about 12%
less than in the previous month. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs
was lower by almost 3%, of pulpwood by about 29%, of wood fuel by 44%, and of
other industrial roundwood by almost 20%, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press
release received by Lesprom Network.
The total value of roundwood purchased in May 2014 was about 5% lower
than in May 2013, mainly due to lower quantity of purchased sawlogs non-coniferous.
The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 12%,
while the values of purchased other categories of roundwood were higher: of
purchased wood fuel by 65%, of pulpwood by about 28% and of other industrial
roundwood by about 7%.
