Smurfit Kappa reported EBITDA for the first half of Euro 724 million, Euro 155 million or 27% up on the same period last year. The reported Group EBITDA margin of 16.4% for the first half of 2018 was up on the 13.4% in the first half of 2017 with higher margins in both Europe and the Americas. Revenue for the first half was Euro 4,428 million, up 5% on the same period last year, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Operating profit before exceptional items in the first half of 2018 at Euro 529 million was 48% higher than the Euro 358 million for the same period in 2017.
