Stora Enso Skog in Sweden is to raise saw timber prices by SEK 25 ($3.5) per cubic meter solid for both spruce and pine timber and Mellanskog is to introduce a SEK 30 ($4.4) supplement per cubic meter for timber delivered during the autumn season, Esmerk reported. The decision follows significant demand for timber. Stora Enso Skog's chief executive Carina Håkansson says she hopes it will encourage private forest owners to increase deliveries.
