The largest amount of timber was imported from Russia – worth LVL 29.99 million ($52.1 million). Timber imports from Byelorussia reached LVL 9.6 million ($15.9 million), imports from Poland – LVL 8.71 million ($15.5 million), imports from Lithuania – LVL 8.66 million ($15 million), imports from Sweden – LVL 8.55 million ($14.5 million), imports from Finland – LVL 7.98 million ($13.9 million), imports from Germany – LVL 7.81 million ($13.6 million), imports from Estonia – LVL 4.74 million ($8.2 million).
Timber exports from Latvia reached LVL 266.6 million ($463 million).
Latvian exports of timber goods to the UK reduced 13% to LVL 66.88 million ($116.2 million), exports to Sweden – up 8.1% to LVL 45.1 million ($78.3 million), exports to Germany – up 0.7% to LVL 28.06 million ($48.7 million).
The cost of timber goods exported to Lithuania increased 25.1%, exports to Poland – up 46.9%, exports to the US – up 123%, exports to France – up 5.1%.
