Feb 21, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. The Australian company, D&R Henderson, has purchased the first Globus SRC 690 EVO 4° knife ring flaker equipped with the “wobble” disk, for their Benalla production facility, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

This flaker, which will replace an existing competitor flaker, is equipped with a series of technical innovations to enable the continual monitoring of the unit’s operating parameters.

After seeing the equipment in operation in fact, and being able to verify the exceptional performance in terms of productivity and power savings, David W. Henderson placed the order for the new mill which is due for installation in the 1Q 2015.

This order takes the number of flakers sold over the last two years to some of the world’s major particleboard manufacturers to 20 units.

Globus has recently designed a completely revolutionary concept for sharpening knife ring flaker knives: “The sharpening room”.

The innovative Globus solution utilizes a robot to handle the knives throughout all the sharpening stages, and which is capable of performing distinct processing cycles
