Feb 06, 2008. /Lesprom Network/. The Dutch paper companies Favini Meerssen B.V. and Favini Apeldoorn B.V. have been declared insolvent and in liquidation respectively, EUWID Pulp and Paper reported. The Italian parent company is not affected by the proceedings, it is however seeking financially strong partners. Negotiations in this direction are currently being conducted with several potential European partners. Whilst Favini ceased production operations at the Apeldoorn facility on 25 January 2008, production is still underway at the Meerssen plant. According to the insolvency administrator, a potential buyer has already been found for the Meerssen plant.
