Feb 20, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Raute announced Raute's years 2007 innovation award competition. This award is an initiative designed to help celebrate innovative approaches to wood products technology. The three finalists will be awarded cash prizes between Euro 15 thousand and Euro 5 thousand. The finalists will travel to Finland as guests of Raute where they will receive their prizes during Raute’s 100 year celebration event in Lahti in August 2008. Every kind of innovation is eligible. They may be in the form of improvements to existing products, processes or machinery technology or totally new concepts. All innovations should have a business application related to Raute’s business. Entries are to be received by June 30, 2008. Raute is a supplier of technology to the wood products industry worldwide. The company’s core expertise lies in manufacturing processes for selected wood products. Raute provides technology and services for the following: plywood and veneer production, production of LVL (laminated veneer lumber), overlaying and further processing of wood panels (particleboard, MDF and OSB), production of multi-layer parquet flooring and the production of decorative veneer.
