Dec 07, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. From February to November 2004, nine wood-based panel plants were started up successfully, reported Siempelkamp. Of the nine plants handed over to customers, there were four particleboard plants, four MDF plants and one OSB plant, each featuring ContiRoll® press technology. All in all, 339.8 meters of Contiroll® were installed by the teams in close cooperation with the customers.
The nine plants in order of start-up dates were:
Vanachai, Thailand, particleboard plant with ContiRoll 8‘ X 48.7 m; complete delivery (no forming line)
Metro Particle, Thailand, particleboard plant with ContiRoll® 8‘ X 23.8 m; is currently being extended to 30.4 m, from the forming line to the cooling and stacking equipment;
Huber, USA, OSB plant with ContiRoll® 8‘ X 60.3 m, from the drier to the finishing equipment, incl. a new preheating system;
Camsan, Turkey, MDF plant with ContiRoll® 8‘ X 27.1 m, from the drier to the cooling and stacking equipment;

Thanks to first-class cooperation with the customer at Dare, Vanachai and Starwood it was possible for the plants to go into 3-shift operation well in advance of the contractually agreed deadline.
A similarly splendid result with 9 start-ups was also achieved by Short-Cycle Presses for laminating, a division of Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau. Five plants were brought up to maximum output in the course of the year for the E. Kaindl Group alone – in the Ukraine, Russia and Switzerland.
In November, a new short-cycle reference plant for the production of laminate flooring came on stream for the company Coesfelder Holzwerkstoffe. Equipped with a number of innovative technical solutions, the plant will go into 3-shift operation before the end of this year.
