Mar 03, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. In April 2005 Svetogorsk (Leningrad region, Russia) will start the modernization of PM-4 in April 2005. The project is aimed at increasing the production capacity from 270 to 330 thousand tons of roll paper/yr. The project envisages the reconstruction of pulp preparation cycle, the installation of new splitting equipment and additional purification facilities, as well as the replacement of some spare parts in the pressure machine and etc. The building is due to start in April 2005 and finished in July 2005. Among the products manufactured by the enterprise are softwood pulp – 141 thousand tons, sulphate hardwod pulp – 138 thousand tons, paper sheet goods – 279 thousand tons, as well as kraft-paper, cardboard, tissue paper and tall oil.
