U.S.total printing-writing paper shipments decreased 6% in February compared to February 2010, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. All four major printing-writing grades posted decreases compared to last February. U.S. purchases (shipments + imports - exports) of printing-writing papers also decreased 6% in February. Total printing-writing paper inventory levels increased 2% compared to January 2011. The American Forest & Paper Association is the national trade association of the forest products industry, representing pulp, paper, and wood products manufacturers, and forest landowners.
