Arauco expects to restart last quake-damaged unit in February

Jan 31, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Chilean wood pulp producer Celulosa Arauco y Constitucion SA expects to restart operations at the quake-damaged second unit of its Arauco pulp plant by mid-February, as Dow Jones reported.
Following the quake, the company restarted all its business units last year, except for 500,000-metric ton unit at its Arauco plant.
Chile's pulp and paper producers were among the hardest hit industries by the February, which struck the country's central-southern regions and left behind total damages estimated at $30 billion.
