Oliver Schumy, 35, will assume responsibilities of CFO for Austrian listed cardboard maker Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG (MM), from October 1, 2006, MM said on September 6, 2006. Schumy has been an executive in the areas of finance, taxes and corporate accounting within the MM Group. He will join the MM executive board in 2007. Schumy will succeed Herbert Noichl, who resigned at his own request in July 2006.
