Aug 30, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. Brazilian pulp and paper maker Suzano Bahia Sul Papel e Celulose SA opened a trade office in Florida, the United States, in the week ended August 27, 2006, investing an undisclosed sum, Invertia reported.
The office, located in Fort Lauderdale, is in line with Suzano's strategy to gain space on the international market to market its future extra production of 1.0 million tonnes of pulp.
In 2007, Suzano Papel e Celulose expects to register an annual extra pulp production of 1.0 million tonnes, after having completed the enlargement of its Bahia unit and via the company's 50% stake in Brazilian pulp and paper producer Ripasa Celulose e Papel (Ripasa).
