China's newsprint production up 8% in June

Jul 15, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. China's newsprint output reached 404,000 metric tons in June, up 8% from a year earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said. Total production during the January-June period rose 4.2% from the first half of last year to 2.26 million tons, Dow Jones reported.
Paper and paper board production in June rose 6.2% to 8.97 million tons, the bureau said. January-June paper and paper board output rose 16% to 49.27 million tons.
Plywood output in June was up 19% to 15.9 million cubic meters. January-June production jumped 25% to 74.97 million cubic meters.
