Estonian Stora Enso Timber to merge Imavere sawmill
2006. Stora Enso Timber AS is going to merge its Imavere Saeveki subsidiary.
Jul 04, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. Stora Enso Timber AS, an Estonian company in the Scandinavian timber and paper industry group, is going to merge its Imavere Saeveki (Imavere sawmill) subsidiary, BNS reported.
Mari-Liis Malberg, press officer of the company, said that Imavere’s merger was an administrative decision and the consolidation was undertaken in order to simplify the structure and management of the company.
At the end of September 2004 Stora Enso Timber consolidated the Napi, Paikuse and Sauga sawmills and Viljandi Liimpuit (Viljandi Gluelam) into one legal person.
The company has a total of nearly 850 employees. In 2003-2005 Stora Enso acquired the biggest Estonian timber firm Sylvester.
Last year the Stora Enso group made a net loss of Euro 126 million at Euro 13.2 billion turnover.
