JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. has appointed William Banholzer, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors. Dr. Banholzer will also serve as a member of the compensation committee of the board.
After a 30-year career in industrial research, Dr. Banholzer retired from Dow Chemical Company where he served most recently as executive vice president. In this role, he led Dow’s venture capital, licensing, and new business development activities. He also served as Dow’s Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to his time at Dow Chemical, Dr. Banholzer had a 22-year career with General Electric Company where he held positions of increasing authority including leading global technology for GE Advanced Materials.
Dr. Banholzer is currently a research professor at the University of Wisconsin with appointments in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department, Chemistry Department, Wisconsin Energy Institute, and the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery.
