Mar 31, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Kadant Black Clawson Inc., a subsidiary of Kadant Inc., received an order from Stora Enso, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, for screening and deflaking equipment to be installed in their papermachine broke system. The order includes a Hydraflaker™ deflaker and a FiberNET™ pressure screen.
The new equipment will be used to deflake and screen machine broke during the production of fine papers at the mill. The Hydraflaker is designed to efficiently disperse fiber bundles during the deflaking operation. The FiberNET employs Kadant’s patented ID-3™ technology and two screening stages for improved fiber yield and screening efficiency. By installing the new equipment, the mill expects to achieve better screening and deflaking for running new grades of fine paper. Installation and start-up is scheduled for the summer of 2005.
