Apr 04, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Mondi announced the completion of the acquisition of BSK Materials Ltd, a UK based extrusion coating company for an undisclosed sum, EUWID pulp and paper reported. BSK Materials employs around 90 staff and will be integrated into Mondi's Coating and Release business unit which is part of the group's Europe & International division. Mondi Coating & Release is a supplier of plastic and paper-based materials, providing technologies such as extrusion coating, laminating, siliconising and printing. Mondi is an international paper and packaging group. Its key operations and interests are in western Europe, emerging Europe, Russia and South Africa. The Group is principally involved in the manufacture of packaging paper and converted packaging products; uncoated fine paper; and speciality products and processes, including coating, release liner and consumer flexibles.
