Aug 04, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Myllykoski is taking further measures to adjust LWC production to actual paper demand, the company reported. This will support Myllykoski in its efforts in stabilizing LWC price levels. Production line 10 in Plattling, with a yearly capacity of 150.000 tons, will be indefinitely idled as of end of July. Regular orders are being taken care of by other Myllykoski production lines. During recent months Myllykoski has taken necessary actions in order to adjust LWC capacity to the actual demand levels. This decision is part of the consistent capacity management and supports Myllykoski’s strong focus on profitability and serving the demands of the customers. Depending on market conditions Myllykoski will take further necessary downtime and/or temporary curtailments within the Group’s coated machines.
