Dec 16, 2003. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Vladimir-region trade turnover increased 24,7% to $384 million within 11 months in 2003 compared with the prior period in 2002. Exports increased 39% to $178,6 million, imports - up 14,8% to $205,4 million. Exports to foreign countries increased 43% to $125,2 million, exports to CIS countries - up 30,8% to $53,4 million. Timber exports stand for 6% of the total volume, machinery exports - 25%. Imports from foreign countries increased 24% to $172,1 million, imports from CIS countries - down 20% to $33 million. Machinery imports stand for 40% of the total imports, timber imports - 2%.
