Oct 01, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau in Krefeld takes over all activities in the wood-working sector from the ATR Industrie-Elektronik, Viersen as per October 1, 2004. That also includes the ATR software solutions for the process control technology (SPOC, PROMACS, PLM, Prod-IQ) and Trending (DAHMOS). Both companies have already been collaborating closely. This integration serves to optimise the customers’ benefits, thus increasing the efficiency, enhancing the processes and adding to flexibility in the provision of field staff.
Joining the activities in the automation, mechanical and hydraulic control segments enables an even smoother order processing, improving quality in plant development and engineering. At the same time the plant know-how is concentrated on one enterprise, creating an innovative potential that would otherwise have passed unnoticed. Moreover, the customers can make full use of the entire service-network of the Krefeld-based market leader in plant engineering for the wood-working industry.
Individual, sophisticated modernisation and retrofitting concepts offer an unusually wide range of innovative solutions in different areas to our customers:
- securing and increasing the availability of the machines e.g. by replacing old technologies
- consistent board quality by improving control circuits, online-measuring of IB and MOR
- increasing productivity e.g. by raising the speed or sequential product changeover
- machinery and plant dismantling and re-construction.
The customers’ service teams have not changed! Siempelkamp will assume all warranties as stipulated for the orders being processed and the orders already completed.
All patents will pass over to the Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH & Co.KG.
109 employees in the woodworking sector are affected by the takeover of ATR by Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH & Co.KG. They all were asked to change from Viersen to Krefeld.
