May 10, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. UPM and Siemens Osakeyhtio have signed a five-year contract on the outsourcing of UPM’s shared IT infrastructure services and user support to Siemens. The contract covers most of UPM’s shared data centre services and user support services. As part of this arrangement, a total of 37 persons from UPM IT in Finland, Germany and the USA will transfer to Siemens. The personnel transfers will take effect on June 1, 2006.
