Austrian Hasslacher buying 35% in Slovene Lip Bled

Austrian wood group Hasslacher will buy 35% of the wood panelling line of furniture manufacturer Lip Bled, the companies said at a press conference in Ljubljana, but did not reveal the price or process by which this transaction will take place. The deal has occurred in the wake of three years of cooperation between the two firms, informed Lesprom Network according to the Slovene news agency STA.
LIP Bled, Slovenia’s second-largest wood-processing firm, has 617 employees and annual turnover of Euro 42 million. The firm has production facilities in Recica Bled and Bohinjska Bistrica.
The Hasslacher group, one of Austria’s biggest wood-processing firms, has 400 employees and annual turnover of Euro 140 million. Hasslacher has plants in Carinthia at Sachsenburg in Spittal District, Arnoldstein in Villach Land District and Liebenfels in St. Veit District.
