Baltijos Baldu Grupe (Baltic Furniture Group) reported preliminary sales of almost LTL 150 million ($52.4 million) for 2005, a drop of 22.4% from sales of LTL 193.3 million ($67.6 million) in 2004. The group owns three Lithuanian furniture manufacturers, Freda, Dilikas and Wood Team Production. It is projecting LTL 221.5 million ($77.4 million) in consolidated sales this year. In December, the three companies boosted their combined sales by 36% year-on-year to LTL 13.84 million ($4.8 million). Rimas Varanauskas and Kestutis Linkus each hold 50% stakes in BBG. Both men earlier worked for SBA, a group with major holdings in the domestic furniture industry.
