Aug 30, 2005. Boise Cascade announced that it is manufacturing a pioneering, new hybrid particleboard called BOISE SELECT(TM).

These new attributes allow BOISE SELECT(TM) to be used in slot walls used by retailers to display clothes and other items, profiled doors and furniture parts, and other applications as a substitute for higher-priced medium density fiberboard (MDF).
"BOISE SELECT(TM) is an innovative, new grade of particleboard that has a finer core, fewer voids, and increased strength over regular particleboard," says Steve Stoler, sales manager. "The strength and ability to profile BOISE SELECT(TM) allows customers to use it in certain applications that up until now required higher-priced MDF, therefore giving them the quality they demand at a lower cost."
BOISE SELECT(TM) was designed to fill the niche between regular particleboard, which does not have sufficient characteristics to be used in some products or projects, and MDF, which has unnecessary characteristics for many applications that make it cost more than particleboard. BOISE SELECT(TM) can reduce a customer's raw material cost, while providing superior performance.
