Georgia-Pacific LLC has completed the previously announced sale of its EMEA tissue business to SCA, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. The transaction included Georgia-Pacific's consumer and away-from-home tissue paper products and personal care businesses and manufacturing assets across Europe, including leading consumer brands as well as away-from-home and private label products developed, manufactured, marketed and sold by 4,700 employees. Georgia-Pacific maintains a presence in Europe primarily through regional offices for GP Cellulose and GP Harmon Recycling. Georgia-Pacific is one of the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of building products, tissue, packaging, paper, cellulose and related chemicals.
