Mar 04, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Irkutsk customs office (Russia) disclosed 52 administrative violations in timber exports. Among the violations is the underdeclaration or false information about the declaration of goods - 33 cases were initated. The following results were obtained by the interdepartmental operation Les-3 organized from November, 20-February, 28 2005. The most frequent violation was false information concerning the amount of timber. In line with article 16.3 'Violation of bans and restrictions on the exports of goods from Russia' 12 cases were initiated. Most of the cases dealt with fitosanitary certificates. During Les-3 operation 20 exporters were sued for various violations, including 11 previously sued violators. A total amount of fines reached RUR 413 thousand.
