Latvian fuel wood export up 43.3% in January-February 2006
2006. In January-February 2006 fuel wood export from Latvia rose by 43.3% compared to the same period 2005 to 368 300 tonnes.
May 10, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. In January-February 2006 fuel wood export from Latvia rose by 43.3% compared to the same period 2005 to 368 300 tonnes. Value of fuel wood export amounted to LVL 9.6 million ($17.6 million), up 15.8% from January-February 2005.
Firewood export in January-February 2006 rose by 5.3% to 27 300 tonnes, wood chips – by 62.8% to 269 600 tonnes, sawdust and other wood-processing waste products – by 9.1% to 71 400 tonnes.
