Rottneros net turnover in 2006 was SEK 2.7 billion ($387.9 million) compared to SEK 2.4 billion ($344.6 million) in 2005 and SEK 713 million ($102.3 million) for the fourth quarter 2006 compared to SEK 607 million ($87.2 million) for the same quarter 2005. Loss after net financial items for full 2006 was SEK 23 million ($3.3 million) compared to loss of SEK 103 million ($14.8 million) in 2005. Income after net financial items for the fourth quarter 2006 was SEK 21 million ($3.0 million) compared to loss of SEK 21 million in fourth quarter 2005. Loss after tax was SEK 8 million ($1.1 million) in January-December 2006 versus loss of SEK 63 million ($9.0 million) for 2005. Profit after tax was SEK 24 million ($3.4 million) in October-December 2006 compared to loss of SEK 4 million ($574 622) in the same quarter a year earlier. Loss per share after tax was SEK 0.05 ($0.007) compared to SEK 0.35 ($0.05) in 2005 and for the fourth quarter 2006 earnings per share were SEK 0.13 ($0.02) compared to loss of SEK 0.02 ($0.003) in fourth quarter 2005. Outlook for 2007 As of January 1, 2007 further price increases have been realized meaning that the price for longfibre sulphate pulp (NBSK) was raised to $760/tonne. For short-fibre sulphate pulp the price has remained at $670/tonne. Demand for bleached chemical pulp during 2007 is estimated to increase by approximately 2.5% which is somewhat lower than the development during 2006. The price development for longfibre pulp is expected to be continuously positive during the first half of the year. As to short-fibre pulp the price development is difficult to form an opinion of due to the fact that new production capacity is disturbing the balance.
