Nov 2 (Interfax) - Trade between Russia and Lebanon totaled $136 million in the first half of 2001. Russian exports to Lebanon came to $134.5 million and imports from Lebanon $1.5 million, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade told Interfax at the end of a three-day visit by the Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafiq Hariri. In 2000, trade turnover grew 120% over 1999 to $202.6 million. Russian exports grew 130% to $199.8 million and imports fell 22.2% to $2.8 million. The main Russian export commodities are barley, bituminous coal, fertilizers, oil products, wood cellulose, paper and cardboard, flat metal products, zinc, equipment and transport means.
