Consumption of sack kraft in Russia will reach 390,000 tons by 2007, up from 316,000 tons in 2002, according to Pyrabelisk.
Exports of sack kraft are expected to increase as product quality improves. In Russia, more lighter, stronger papers will be used, but consumption of sack kraft is still forecast to increase by nearly 30% by 2007. Future demand for sacks will increase because of demand for a wider range of high quality building materials as well as increasing demand for high quality sacks for consumer products.
