Feb 29, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. In 2015, total volume of lumber exports from Russia increased by 10.7%, to 14.33 million tons year-over-year, as Federal Customs Service of Russia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The volume of Russian exports of roundwood for the reporting period amounted to 19.44 million cubic metres, 7% less than in 2014.

Export value of roundwood decreased by 24.7% to $1.34 billion; export value of lumber decreased by 17.8% to $3.074 billion.

18.78 million cubic metres of roundwood (-7.5%) worth $1.31 billion (-24.7%) were shipped to other countries in 2015; to CIS countries – 662.5 thousand cubic metres (+7.9%) worth $25.7 million (-34.6%).

11.435 million tons (+20.7%) of lumber worth $2.66 billion (-8.6%) were shipped to other countries; to CIS countries – 2.89 million tons (-16.8%), worth $417.3 million (-49.4%).
