Smurfit-Stone appoints two officers to reclamation division

Jun 22, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation has hired industry veterans Anthony Dilenno and Suzanne Whitney to key posts in the company's reclamation division.
Mr. Dilenno will serve as director of high grade procurement and will work out of the company's Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office.
Ms. Whitney will serve as director of national accounts working out of Smurfit-Stone's Torrance, California office. Both will report to Robert Curran, vice president of national accounts.
Mr. Dilenno is a 21-year veteran of the recycling industry and has extensive waste paper experience in domestic and foreign markets. He previously served as president and chief executive officer of Euro Fibers, Inc., a large multi-faceted recycling company, and has experience managing or facilitating waste disposal operations, electronics recycling and recovery, township and city curbside recycling programs, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and document shredding. He facilitated and processed a pilot residential recycling program in the city of Philadelphia in 1987 and established the first comprehensive office fiber recycling program for Philadelphia in 1988.
Ms. Whitney has more than 19 years of recycling and solid waste experience including 14 years with Weyerhaeuser Company, where she worked in brokerage, mill sales and national accounts.
