Sep 24, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. As part of the regular strategic assessments made by UPM, it is announced that Caledonian Paper will install a High Consistency Bleaching Plant at its Irvine site. The investment cost is approximately EUR 11 Million. The project consists of high consistency bleaching and washing presses, bleaching tower, pigment handling and control systems. The new investment is an addition to the current mechanical pulp mill. The project will start up Quarter 4, 2005.
