Jul 23, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. U.S. total printing-writing paper shipments decreased 6% in June 2015 compared to June 2014, with inventory levels increasing 1% from May, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Uncoated free sheet (UFS) paper shipments in June increased 3% compared to June 2014, the first year-over-year increase in the past 18 months. Imports of UFS increased 16% year-over-year in May.

June coated free sheet (CFS) paper shipments decreased 7% compared to June 2014. Imports of CFS papers increased 6% in May, with exports down 18%.

Uncoated mechanical (UM) paper shipments decreased 21% when compared with June 2014. Imports of UM papers were down 21% in May, the eleventh consecutive monthly decline.

Coated mechanical (CM) shipments in June decreased 19% relative to June 2014. Imports of CM decreased 1% in May, while exports of CM were up 24% compared to May 2014, the fifth consecutive monthly increase.
