As of September, Brazilian pulp and paper company Votorantim Papel e Celulose (VCP) will apply the fourth readjustment of the year for pulp prices, Gazeta Mercantil reported. The hike will be of $20 for all markets. Thus, the reference prices are $715 in the United States, $680 in Europe and $650 in Asia. According to the company, the closure of units, especially in North America, which has withdrawn 1.5 million tonnes from the market this year, has maintained the demand and prices at a high level.
