Dec 21, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Wausau Paper revised its fourth-quarter outlook and now expects a loss of about 4 cents a share, excluding items, compared with its earlier expectation of a profit of about 4 cents a share, informed Reuters. The revised outlook reflected weaker-than-expected results from its printing and writing and specialty products business units. Analysts expect the paper maker to post earnings of 5 cents a share for the fourth quarter, according to Reuters Estimates. The company's printing and writing profitability recovery plan is still expected to return the business to profitable levels in the second-half of 2008. Wausau Paper, with record revenues of $1.2 billion in fiscal 2006, produces and markets fine printing and writing papers, technical specialty papers, and "away-from-home" towel and tissue products.
