A rebuilt mill in Lebanon, Oregon has opened, after crews demolished the original Bauman Lumber Mill and replaced it with a new, 110,000-square-foot facility, The Daily Journal of Commerce reported. The former mill, owned by Weyerhaeuser, was replaced with a new building and new equipment. It also has a new name – the Santiam Lumber Mill. The new mill will produce 2-by-4 and 2-by-6 lumber for home centers. Construction on the mill began in March 2007. The mill employs 115 workers and will produce 400 to 450 million board feet of lumber per year.
