Forisk acquires Wood Demand Research Program from the Harley Langdale, Jr. Center for Forest Business

Forisk Consulting, a leader in North American forest industry and timber market research, has acquired the Wood Demand Research Program (WDRP) from the Harley Langdale, Jr. Center for Forest Business at the University of Georgia. The WDRP includes the quarterly Wood Demand Report of wood use in the U.S. South and the Forest Industry Shapefiles of mill capacities and wood use in the United States.

Dr. Brooks Mendell, President and CEO of Forisk, says, “Adding this Program to our research portfolio strengthens our ability to serve North America’s forest industry. The underlying data and relationships with associations and agencies help us grow our Mill Studies of industry capacity and competitiveness by sector and region in the U.S. and Canada. This adds to our unique dataset for evaluating the ability-topay for wood, adoption rates of new technology, and timber market trends over time.”
