Heinzel Group appoints Thomas Welt as CEO of Laakirchen Papier AG

Heinzel Group announces changes to the Board of Directors, Laakirchen Papier AG in Austria. Mark Lunabba CEO Laakirchen Papier AG went into well-deserved retirement at the end of 2017. He has held the responsible position as Board Member in Laakirchen for the past 17 years.

The milestones of his career were the construction of the PM11 during 2000 to 2002, the crisis management of the major fire at the PM10 in autumn of 2015, and as a major highlight, the successful conversion of the PM10 from SC paper to corrugated base paper this year.

At the same time, the company announces that Mr. Thomas Welt, Production Manager PM10 and PM11 since July 1, 2016, will now succeed Mark Lunabba as CEO of Laakirchen Papier AG.

Laakirchen Papier AG is one of Europe's leading manufacturer of super-calendered SC paper. The mill was built in 1867 and since 2013 has been a subsidiary of the internationally operative Heinzel Group.
