Haapajärven Lämpö Oy and KPA Unicon have signed a contract for delivery of a 20 MW Unicon Renefluid bioenergy boiler. The plant will be handed over to the customer in the end of 2020. The plant will utilize residues, mainly coniferous bark, from Hasa Oy’s sawmill production and the produced heat is used local district heating network and sawmill drying kilns.

KPA Unicon to delivery new bioenergy plant to Haapajärven Lämpö in Finland

Haapajärven Lämpö Oy and KPA Unicon have signed a contract for delivery of a 20 MW Unicon Renefluid bioenergy boiler. The plant will be handed over to the customer in the end of 2020. The plant will be located next to the existing KPA Unicon delivery on Rantakatu, Haapajärvi, Finland, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The plant will utilize residues, mainly coniferous bark, from Hasa Oy’s sawmill production and the produced heat is used local district heating network and sawmill drying kilns.

The delivery includes a solid fuel boiler with auxiliary equipment, installation and commissioning. The plant delivery is based on advanced Renefluid fluidized bed technology, enabling efficient use of various wet biomasses with low emissions. The plant will be operated and monitored by the PlantSys digital system, which ensures easy adjustment of the operating parameters, safe control and provides comprehensive reporting for operators and management.

KPA Unicon provides life cycle services for responsible district heat, steam and power generation.
