Mar 20, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. The main shareholder of Duran Dogan Ambalaj AS, Yildiz Holding, has sold the totality of its shares to the French based LGR Emballages Group, one of the leader for cardboard packaging in Europe, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.

LGR Emballages Group has now 10 sites in France, Belgium and Spain. Its business is organized around two major activities: healthcare/hygiene folding cartons and litho-printed laminated boxes for consumer goods.

For LGR, the investment within Duran Dogan will allow the company to enlarge its offer in Europe towards international and multisite customers, especially regarding Premium packaging, recognized expertise of Duran Dogan on the European scale. It will also give opportunities to LGR to develop new markets in growing areas such as Turkey and its neighbouring countries.

On the other side, LGR will bring to Duran Dogan its know-how and experience in manufacturing of healthcare folding cartons, so as to build a dedicated plant in line with the international quality standards required by pharmaceutical laboratories. Duran Dogan intends to become the leader for healthcare folding cartons in Turkey, East Europe and Middle-East.

Duran Dogan Packaging was established in 2005 by merging the two most experienced and wellknown companies in the packaging sector: Duran Ofset and Dogan Packaging.
